Full Job Description

Operate a counterbalance forklift truck on public highways-a valid full driving licence is essential.
Safely collect, transfer, and remove waste materials, including hazardous waste, as required.
Use baler and compactor equipment, and recycle materials in line with site procedures.
Complete all compliance paperwork, including waste transfer notes, accurately and on time.
Adhere to all health & safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and work flexible shift patterns.
Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
Maintains a professional, confidential, and methodical approach to all aspects of work.
Holds a valid forklift truck licence (Counterbalance) and full driving license.
Trained in COSHH, manual handling, and the safe use of compactor and baler equipment.
Experienced in hazardous waste handling, including decanting, storage, and safe loading using FLT.

We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Waste Operative to join our team in Hull. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, physical capability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness.

Monday - Friday 5 am - 13:00 / 14:00-22:00
£12.60 per hour
