Waste and Cleansing HGV / LGV Driver (EPR)

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Waste & Cleansing HGV/LGV Driver to join our frontline team. In this role, you'll be more than just a driver- you'll be a leader, ensuring essential services run smoothly and keeping Nottingham clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. What you'll do

• Drive and take responsibility for our Waste & Cleansing vehicles (up to HGV)
• Lead and support a crew of up to 4 operatives, mentoring new drivers and helping the team succeed
• Deliver a wide range of services: refuse, recycling, street cleansing, and winter gritting support
• Always ensure safety - for yourself, your crew, and the public
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and keep vehicles roadworthy and presentable
• Use in-cab systems to keep services efficient and responsive
• Work flexibly across the city (and surrounding areas), in all weathers, as part of a dedicated public service team, 1. Hold a Category C (HGV Class II) driving licence
2. Have a valid Driver CPC card 3. Will work between 14:00-22:00 (2pm till 10pm Monday to Thursday and 2pm till 9.30pm on Fridays) 4. Experience/knowledge of the safe operation and driving vehicles such as refuse collection vehicles, gritters and mainline sweepers
