Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Warehouse Technician / Delivery Driver based at our NDC in Neyland, Pembrokeshire to support our busy warehouse team and ensure the provision of a professional incoming goods, storage and dispatch service to customers, encompassing both speed and accuracy.,
- Daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt of incoming goods, storage / stock control, picking and dispatch of products in a timely and efficient manner to achieve your team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), as determined by the Warehouse Team Leader.
- Daily goods deliveries to customer and Simon Safety depot locations.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
- To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with non-conforming and time sensitive product.
- Ensuring accurate and periodic cycle counts and stock takes are completed, and that stock inventories are accurate.
- Ensuring stock rotation and that the quality of the product and service within the Warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
- Ensure quality procedures and team quality targets are strictly adhered to.
- Adhering to the Company Health and Safety Policy, and maintain a safe working environment - ensure the forklift trucks are operated in a safe and responsible manner
- Actively work towards Zero Errors.
- Actively work towards Zero Losses.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
The role requires good physical health and ability to lift to 20kg - Forklift license, Counterbalance & VNA forklift licence is required
- Be literate / numerate, with keen eye for detail as items need to be visually inspected when receiving and picking
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and ability to work efficiently
- Good visual memory with the ability to retain alphanumeric data.
- Proven experience in warehousing is required (Goods In, Picking, Goods Out), experience in a production environment is desirable
- Ability to follow procedures and execute tasks in a safe, timely and efficient manner whilst working on your own as well as part of a team
- Willingness to gain and develop new skills
Full training on our warehouse system will be provided. There is an opportunity to progress within the role as a career path reflecting skills and experience has been established.
