Full Job Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to play a key role at the centre of our fulfilment operation. Your daily tasks will involve picking and packing customer orders in a large warehouse. The warehouse is an ambient temperature, and you will be given uniform to wear. A manager will direct your workload for the shift, and you will be given written and visual instructions to follow. You will be part of a larger team but most of the work activities will be completed on an individual basis. A typical day may involve

  • Picking, packing and sorting orders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manual tasks, such as handling. loading and unloading.
  • General housekeeping of the warehouse., Before applying, please ensure that you meet the following criteria:
  • You are autistic.
  • You are aged 18-25 at the start of the internship.
  • You are a UK resident/have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship., Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person interview at the warehouse. An interview pack will be shared in advance with what to expect from the process along with the interview questions. As part of the interview, you will be asked to complete a short literacy and numeracy test. Interviewees will also have the opportunity to see the warehouse working environment.

    Be able to follow clear written and visual instructions.
  • Be able to manage your own time and complete tasks promptly.
  • Be able to communicate any concerns to the manager. This is usually done verbally, but a different process can be put in place if required., Please note that this role requires a Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear disclosure (no unspent convictions) prior to starting the role.
