Full Job Description
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll be responsibly for managing your resources effectively to support the core tasks and priorities of the section, colleagues and Section Leaders. This is a busy and varied role, and you will be responsible for a range of tasks including:
- Unloading and loading vehicles
- Checking a variety of goods in as they arrive
- picking and locating stock
- Making sure goods are available for distribution
- Assisting with warehouse audit systems
- To identify processes that can be improved upon and recommend changes to Section Leaders
- To liaise with internal departments as necessary
- To acquire AX user knowledge succinct with the requirements of the section
To be considered as the Warehouse Operative you will need: - Previous experience of computerised inventory control and stores
- Experience of an engineering or marine environment
- Be proactive and motivated, and educated to NVQ 2 (or equivalent), with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ideally possess a forklift truck license or be willing to attain one, So, if as a Warehouse Operative/Storesperson, you are someone who is organised, methodical, a good communicator, and you want a role that supports our organisation's aim to reduce drowning, this could be the role for you.
