Location: Luton



Summary


£40,000 up to £50,000 per annum | 30-35 days' holiday | Ongoing training | 10% in-store discount | Pension Scheme

You'll play a key role in making sure all systems and machines in the warehouse are functioning and you'll get to know them like they're part of the team. Reporting to the Team Manager, you'll maintain, test, and repair essential equipment like conveyors and control systems. What you'll do



  • Be responsible for a department in the RDC. Line managing an amazing team of Warehouse Operatives, coaching, and training them to succeed

  • Maintain our automated systems, from sortation machinery to controllers, and make repairs when needed

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, 6 monthly and yearly tests to keep systems in top shape

  • Find ways we can improve processes and contribute ideas for streamlining our automation technology

  • Make sure safety regulations are met at all times, and report any concerns

  • Coordinate with on-call service providers and manage external service work if needed

  • Manage tool inventories and spare parts to ensure the team always has the resources required to complete maintenance tasks and keep operations running smoothly

  • Support additional machinery including lifts, MHE, and compressors, reporting all issues to the maintenance team promptly

  • Support your Team Manager with operations, compliance and Head Office projects



What you'll need



  • Natural confidence and leadership qualities to get the best out of everyone you work with

  • Experience working with automation systems like sorters, conveyors and controllers

  • A proactive approach to maintaining and improving automated systems

  • Willing to work shifts and be on call when needed

  • See that safety and compliance regulations are met at all times

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • A relevant trade qualification and at least two years of experience in a technical role
