Introduction

The role is to help run a small warehouse whilst developing themselves with a view of aspiring towards a higher-level position in the future, possibly into a Supply Chain & Warehouse Operative/Supervisor.

What You'll Do

  • Learn and understand the supply chain of CCM Europe, in particular the UK Operations, Warehousing and Logistics
  • Learn the Made to Measure process
  • Learn SAP and the relevant administration for transacting material movements
  • Become licenced and proficient on both Reach and Counterbalance Forklift trucks
  • To learn and understand the Customer Service role
  • Learn the Carlisle Operating System framework, in particular Path to Zero (H&S), the requirements for measuring performance (SQDC & Tiered Accountability), maintaining good standards (5S), Problem Solving (A3) and Waste Observation
  • Undertaking of the relevant qualifications via the courses at West Notts College

On the job basics:

To ensure that all activities undertaken within the operation comply with the relevant Health, Safety and Fire regulations.

Ensure that inventory is put away, picked checked and loaded in an efficient and effective manner, to meet customer service and KPI targets.

Ensure all equipment (including property, vehicles, mechanical handling equipment and racking) is operated in a safe and effective manner, with cognisance of any statutory requirements, and in accordance with Company Policy.

Ensure that the Procurement Team are informed of all stock variances and breakages in a timely manner.

To assist in perpetual inventory checks as per Standard Operating Procedure.

To ensure that excellent standards of housekeeping are maintained across the site at all times.

Utilise the Carlisle Operating System (COS) ways of working in all relevant tasks and projects.
