Full Job Description
As a Ward Sister you will be responsible for supporting the Lead Sister in the delivery of excellent patient care and service. You will assess, plan, and deliver care, based on individual patient needs. This role is ideal for a registered nurse who is passionate about providing the best patient care and has a desire to take the next step in their career by leading and mentoring a team. The role will require shift rotation and is for 37.5 hours per week working shifts between Monday and Saturday. Shifts will be between the hours of 07:00 - 20:00 dependent on the hospital requirement. Role Responsibilities As a Ward Sister you will:
- Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions.
- Work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff as required.
- Support and act as role model for junior staff, promoting a learning environment.
- When required, review the allocation of staff to the ward, adjusting the workforce to reflect activity and patient need.
- Ensure that your own professional development is maintained and enhanced., Take reassurance from knowing that your interviewer can often be as nervous as you. Be polite, honest and open, maintaining eye contact with them. Talk as clearly and confidently as you can and if you don't understand a question, ask for clarification. When answering, focus on positive experiences and be prepared to go into detail about your previous positions and your future aspirations.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated registered nurse with excellent leadership skills to join our Day Surgery department as a Ward Sister., Be a Registered Nurse. - Have post-registration clinical experience in day surgery.

Permanent Full Time | Starting Salary £36,000, Desirable - Post Graduate course in the relevant specialty.
- Medicine, surgery, orthopaedic or cardiac experience an advantage.
