Ward Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full time position as a Band 7 ward Manager to support Jubilee Ward in Stroud Hospital. You will be responsible and accountable for the leadership, development, Quality improvement, and management of services within Jubilee ward. This is to ensure the highest standards of patient care and rehabilitation are delivered in the most efficient and effective way across a 24 hour period, 7 days a week.Main duties of the job To act as a role model by being a highly visible, accessible, fair and authoritative figure on whom staff, patients, families and carers can rely Support existing team members in the provision of appraisal and supervision of other team members including induction of junior staff members and support of those undergoing various training pathways. Staff management and rota management Promoting discharge planning and fostering a culture of enabling patients to become more independent. To develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care with effective leadership and team management. Developing methods for identifying, maintaining and improving the quality of patient care through facilitation of best practice and clinical benchmarking To be an effective leader to all clinical and non-clinical staff working in the department.

• 81% said that care of patients and service users is the Trust's priority, compared with an average in comparable NHS Trusts in England of 64%.
This high-level overview shows we are in a healthy position, with higher scores than average for comparable organisations, alongside a great response rate, indicating good staff engagement. However, we also know we have plenty of room for improvement in many areas. To that end, we continue to prioritise and invest in our commitment to genuinely becoming a Great Place to Work with consistent top-quartile performance in the annual staff survey and Pulse surveys.
