We are launching an ambitious and highly specialised service and are looking for an exceptional MND Specialist Nurse to lead the development of a brand-new 14-bed Motor Neurone Disease (MND) ward, alongside oversight of a bespoke 5-bed private rehabilitation unit. - This is a nurse qualified post What you'll be working: 37.5 Hours / Monday to Friday What you'll be doing: You will play a pivotal role in:
- Designing and implementing a high-quality, patient-centred MND specialist service
- Leading the setup and operational development of a 14-bed dedicated MND ward
- Overseeing clinical standards and delivery within a 5-bed private rehabilitation unit
- Building, mentoring, and inspiring a multidisciplinary nursing team
- Establishing best practice pathways, policies, and patient experiences from day one
- Working collaboratively with consultants, therapists, and senior leadership
Registered Nurse with significant experience in Motor Neurone Disease, neurology, or complex long-term conditions - Proven leadership or senior clinical experience (e.g. Ward Manager, Clinical Lead, Specialist Nurse)
- Passion for service development and innovation
- Strong understanding of patient-centred care in both NHS and/or private healthcare settings
- Ideally, experience within private healthcare or rehabilitation environments
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach with the confidence to build and lead a new service
- A legal right to work in the U.K.
