Ward Host / hostess - Prescot

We're currently recruiting a Ward Host/Hostess to join Healthcare on a part time basis, contracted to 16.5 hours per week, working afternoons on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and mornings on Thursday and Saturday. You'll make a real difference to patients every day, serving nutritious meals and drinks with care, and bringing a friendly face to the ward. What you'll do

• Providing menus, taking orders from patients and helping with dietary and allergen queries
• Preparing and serving refreshments and meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Clearing down ward areas and washing up, so the kitchen is ready for the next service
• Liaising with ward staff to make sure patients' needs are met in good time
• Offering great customer service by always putting the patient first
  
  Our ideal Ward Host/Hostess will:
• Be aware of food hygiene standards
• Be passionate about patient care and communicate well with patients, visitors and healthcare staff
• Be able to work under pressure, on your own and as part of a team
• Be confident working in a hospital, aware that at times you'll meet patients who are very unwell or distressed
• Take pride in what you do and go the extra mile for our patients (you don't need to have worked as a Ward Host/Hostess before)
• Be happy to complete a Disclosure & Barring Service check, which we pay for
