Were looking for a motivated and personable Senior Ward Host to be a key link between our patients and the catering teamensuring every meal is served with care, attention to detail, and a smile. Youll play an essential role in creating a positive patient experience, from taking and delivering meal orders to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. As the friendly face of our catering service, youll also support the kitchen team during peak periods and help ensure our service runs smoothly from start to finish.   • Taking and communicating food and beverage orders for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Aid production of front of house rota
  • Leading the Front of House team, ensuring they are fully trained and this is maintained, conducting regular 121s
  • Assist with preparing trays and trolleys for meal service based on specific dietary needs
  • Ensure H&S / allergen processes are followed
  • Supporting kitchen operations by serving, preparing cold dishes, and restocking service areas
  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Attending training in food hygiene, allergen awareness, and health & safety

    Industry recognised qualification at NVQ level 2 or higher or at least 2 years experience within a similar role within the service industry.
  • Food safety Level 2 (this will be provided by HH if needed)
  • The ability to lead by example
  • Flexibility with regards to shift patterns
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic IT skills including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • A good knowledge of common allergies.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality, Experience in a hospital catering setting
