Full Job Description
This role plays a vital part at the heart of the ward, providing a welcoming and efficient first point of contact for patients, relatives, and clinical staff.
You will deliver a high-quality front-line administrative service, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the ward while ensuring patients and visitors receive a professional and compassionate "front door" experience during their visit.
Alongside this, you will be responsible for accurately recording and updating patient information within clinical systems, including admissions, discharges, and transfers. Maintaining exceptional data quality is essential, with strict adherence to Trust policies, health records standards, and information governance requirements.
The role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively in a busy environment. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to support different wards and adapt to evolving service needs. You will play an important part in ensuring both operational efficiency and a positive patient experience., Maintain any paper based documentation and prepare for admission . After patient discharge send paperwork to relevant areas for processing. Provide accurate data quality information . Tracking notes Filing duties when needed. Ordering of stores. keeping the reception area tidy . booking appointments
