We are looking for an organised and proactive Ward Clerk to provide high-quality clerical and administrative support to our busy ward team. • The post holder provides general non-clinical advise, information, and guidance to patients, clients, relatives, and carers as appropriate, ensuring efficient administrative support to the clinical team.
• Use hospital computer systems effectively to ensure accurate and timely recording of patient information and maintain record-keeping functions.
• Ensure filing and documentation with patient case notes comply with trust and departmental standards.
• Maintain clerical systems and uphold strict confidentiality in line with Health Records Operational Policy and Record Keeping Standards.
• Handle telephone and face to face enquiries from patients, relatives, and staff professionally, consulting clinical staff when necessary.
• Attend and participate in ward meetings as required.
• Work collaboratively within the team to provide cross-cover and support colleagues.
• Organise and complete tasks to required standards within agreed timeframes
• Perform general administrative duties, including emailing, photocopying and maintaining documentation
• Actively contribute as a team member and participate constructively in the annual appraisal process
