Older Peoples medicine (OPM) is a specialty that has evolved in recent years to meet the needs of the growing population of older people.Brundall Ward is an acute Ward that cares for patients requiring a prolonged stay due to complex medical conditions and discharge planning. Brundall prides itself on its multi-disciplinary team working, providing every patient with a high standard of individualized care with a goal of safely discharging patients home or to a placement suitable to meet the needs of the patient when they are Medically fit to leave the acute trust. OPM is praised for its high standard of care and support to patients and their families at the end of their life. We are a friendly and welcoming team which is committed to ensuring we provide the highest standard of care to patients on the ward. As a ward clerical officer you will work alongside all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the smooth running of the ward. The Ward Clerical Officer is an essential part of a ward team, helping to streamline the work of the ward, support and help all members of the ward team to provide a quality service. The Ward Clerical Officer is the first point of contact for patients, staff and visitors to the ward. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can work flexible hours as we provide a 5 day a week service. To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
