Are you looking to begin your administrative career in healthcare and become part of a forward-thinking, expanding Radiology service?

Our New Cross Interventional Radiology team plays a vital role in patient care, and as a Ward Clerk you'll be the friendly, reassuring first point of contact for patients starting their Radiology journey. Your responsibilities will include reception duties, general administration, arranging patient appointments and stock management.

With our department undergoing exciting positive developments, we are committed to growing our team to support increasing service demand., The post holder will be responsible for delivering a full range of reception, clerical and administrative duties to support Interventional Radiology appointments, using both the Radiology Information System (Soliton) and the Trust Patient Administration System. They will provide reception cover, offering an efficient, welcoming and helpful service to all patients attending the unit. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves daily liaison with patients, consultants and other hospital staff, both face-to-face and over the telephone. The post holder must maintain patient confidentiality at all times and demonstrate a polite, professional telephone manner, ensuring accurate information is recorded within the patient record on Soliton. They will be responsible for monitoring, scheduling and amending Radiology appointments in line with Trust Patient Access Policy. Good knowledge of IT systems such as Word, Excel, email are desirable.
