An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed Ward Clerk to join Meadvale/CCU. The post holder will join a flexible and enthusiastic team in a forward-thinking department who are committed to working as 'One Team', for the benefit of the patients. Meadvale is a 23 bedded Cardiology Ward and a 8 bedded Coronary care Unit. The role would be to help patient flow of the unit. Working hours would be 8:30AM - 4PM, Wednesday to Friday. You would be responsible for providing the administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of the unit. You will support the Sisters and Ward Manager. You would be responsible for keeping the computerised bed board up to date in real time while taking phone calls and greeting visitors to the ward so time management skills and the ability to prioritise are essential. Ward Clerk duties include: booking outpatient appointments and patient transport, assisting the NIC with administration duties. IT skills are essential but full training will be giving on the hospital computer systems.
