An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ward clerk on B11/PAU which is our Paediatric unit, at North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust - Halton site., You must have an excellent telephone manner, as you will be speaking to patients, relatives and other health care professionals via the telephone.
Vigilance in passing on important/confidential information to the relevant members of staff is paramount.
Must be able to organise own work load, ensuring all duties are completed within a reasonable time frame.
A key part of the role involves managing secure archiving and disposal of documentation. You will liaise with the team to contribute to the smooth running of the department by ensuring that all operational requirements are met efficiently.
Other duties include :
Obtain complete medical records, locate any missing case notes
Ensure confidentiality of all medical records and information relating to patients, ensuring patients notes available for staff
There may also be a requirement to undertake other similar duties as part of this post in order to provide a quality service. These will be consistent with the level of responsibility outlined above.

Our nurse in charge coordinates the efforts of all staff on shift helping to manage any challenges that arise or and workplace pressures using a teamworking approach. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will handle telephone enquiries, redirect calls, and respond to queries from patients, staff, and external agencies, always ensuring confidentiality is maintained. You will also support the team with general administrative
tasks such as photocopying, filing, distributing mail, and maintaining departmental records in line with Trust policies., NCM hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise own workload, and work well as part of a team. We are looking for ideally someone with previous clerical experience (Hospital experience preferred). However, training will be provided.
