To register and receive patients arriving on the Unit for admission. The post holder acts as the first point of contact for all forms of communication for the Nurse in Charge of the ward and their team. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and hardworking Ward Clerk to join the team on The Stamford Unit, Ground floor. Under the direction of the Unit Manager / Sisters you will help us to ensure that we provide an efficient service for our patients and relatives. Previous experience is desirable and a full induction into the role will be given. You are required to be professional, accurate, demonstrate computer skills and be confident when using the telephone. Experience of working with the public is desirable and you will be happy to deal with people which could be patients, relatives and healthcare professionals on a daily basis.

  • Please note that the successful candidate can do the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship if they would like to once in role
