Then we would love to hear from you!, A unique opportunity has arisen for a Ward Administrator/Team Administrator to support Ashford Ward within Adult LD Forensic Service. This is opportunity is available to full-time or part-time applicants. Ashford Unit is a purpose-built 10-bedded ward specifically for adult men with a learning disability who have been detained under the Mental Health Act. Ashford has a strong multi-disciplinary team - comprising nurses, support workers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists. The unit includes: 10 en-suite bedrooms, a sensory room music and art rooms, fitness suite, a multi-faith room and a sunny garden space. This role attracts a half Forensic Lead Payment in addition to salary. We understand that in order to maximise the quality of care we provide we must invest in the development of our staff. To support this development we provide a robust and supportive induction programme for all staff. You will receive regular supervision as well as a number of training opportunities to ensure continuing professional development., We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and well-motivated individual to join the team. The successful candidate will need to be hard working and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent time management. You will need to be IT literate, able to work with different computer systems confidently and demonstrate expertise in the full range of administrative skills. You will be well organised, able to prioritise and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as being self-motivated and able to use your own initiative. The role will include a wide variety of administrative tasks such as day to day support of the ward manager, data inputting, audio typing, word processing, minute taking, ordering and co-ordinating meetings.
