Walsall Child Development Services Administrator

We are an integrated Community Children's Therapies service providing assessment and intervention for children and young people aged 0-19 years with a range of physical and developmental conditions, complex needs and life limiting conditions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the service for a full time administrator to join our friendly teams at the Walsall Child Development Centre.

The post holder will assist in the development and administration of the Walsall Child Development Centre under 5's specialist pathways across Speech a and Language, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and 0-19 services.

There will be regular dealings with the families known to the service by taking phone messages and the successful candidate must therefore be able to respect confidentiality, be courteous, non-judgemental and demonstrate excellent communication skills., The successful candidate will be expected to show the application of a high standard of administrative skills and a good degree of personal initiative appropriate to the specific tasks to be undertaken. Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work on their own or within a team whilst under pressure, and ability to manage own time and work load are essential. You will need to be a team player and be able to work collaboratively within the integrated team as well as the wider MDT. Multidisciplinary and multi-agency working is a major part of the role and the service and allows the team to provide person centred, safe and joined up care

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is an integrated Trust and the only provider of NHS acute care in Walsall, serving a population of 284,300. It provides inpatient and outpatient services at the Manor Hospital as well as a wide range of services in the community. Walsall Manor houses the full range of district general hospital services under one roof. The £170 million development was completed in 2010, and ongoing upgrades ensure the Trust now has state-of-the-art facilities, including a Critical Care Unit, Neonatal Unit, Obstetric Theatre, and Integrated Assessment Unit. A new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre, opened in March 2023, has significantly improved emergency care facilities and capacity, providing almost 5,000 square metres of additional clinical space.
