Vulnerabilities Prevention Officer

As the Prevention Officer, you will be co-located within the Housing Advice and Information Team and will work alongside Housing Prevention Officers. Anyone presenting at R&C House with housing needs will be triaged and supported by a Vulnerable Persons Officer (VPO). Duties of a Vulnerabilities Prevention Officer include:

• Providing tailored support around any additional multiple disadvantages
• Helping individuals access services
• Arranging and attending appointments where appropriate
• Working proactively to prevent homelessness-particularly pre-Section 8-through coordinated multi-agency planning.
• Ensuring timely support to reduce crisis-led interventions, and prevents issues escalating into homelessness
