Full Job Description
Counselling in the Community is looking for an experienced finance professional to join our Board of Trustees as Volunteer Treasurer.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your financial skills to help shape the future of a local mental health charity that provides affordable counselling to adults, children and young people across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde.
As Treasurer, you will:
Provide strategic oversight of the charity's finances.
Help monitor budgets, cash flow and financial performance.
Ensure appropriate financial controls and governance are in place.
Support the Board in making informed financial decisions.
Work with the CEO and fellow trustees to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Assist with the preparation of annual accounts and ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements., The role is voluntary and requires approximately 4-6 hours per month, including attendance at trustee meetings.
We're looking for someone with experience in finance, accounting or bookkeeping who can explain financial information clearly and contribute to strategic discussions. Previous trustee experience is welcome but not essential.
