Full Job Description
- Deliver hands-on project work for the migration of legacy telephony services toMicrosoft Teams Voice.
- Configure, deploy, and supportTeams endpoints(handsets, headsets, common-area devices).
- Carry out site-based readiness assessments (network, Wi-Fi, switching, cabling, device checks) alongside operational teams (Networks, Server, Voice & Uc, etc).
- Work closely with the Voice & UC Programme team (PM's, BA's, etc) to plan, prepare and execute cutovers.
- Engage directly with clinical teams, site leads, Estates and Digital stakeholders.
- Perform MS Teams configuration including: + Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Resource Accounts + Dial Plans, Calling Policies, Voice Routing + Endpoint profile configuration
- Support numberPORTsand coordination with third-party telcos.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting, user training and go-live support.
- Maintain accurate documentation (workbooks, site inventories, cutover plans).
- Ensure all deployments follow Trust governance, downtime authority, and change freeze processes.
- Represent Digital Voice & UC as a subject matter expert on-site.
We are seeking an experiencedVoice and Unified Communications Projects Engineer (MS Teams Administrator)to support the delivery of major telephony and unified communications transformation programmes across ELFT. This role requires ahands-on project engineer, not a service desk or purely operational support background. The successful candidate must have strong experience inMicrosoft Teams Voice administrationandend-to-end UC migrations, particularly transitioning services from legacy voice platforms (PSTN, Avaya, etc.) toMS Teams. This is anon-site roleacrossEast London, Luton, and Bedfordshire, with frequent travel between sites --own transport is essential. The candidate must beLondon-based or within short commutable distance. The environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is organised, proactive, technically confident, and able to communicate effectively with clinical and operational leaders.
