What you will be doing As a Vocational Tutor, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for future education, employment and training. You will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging vocational learning that builds practical, personal and employability skills.
• Create a safe, stimulating and purposeful learning environment rooted in mutual respect.
• Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs, ensuring all pupils can access and succeed in their learning.
• Build strong, restorative relationships with pupils, supporting their confidence, independence and work-readiness.
• Track progress, assess learning and contribute to accreditation and reporting processes.
• Model positive attitudes, values and behaviours at all times.
• Work closely with colleagues, families and external partners to support positive outcomes.
• Use tools, materials and resources safely and effectively, promoting good practice and responding to risk appropriately.
  
  Have experience planning and delivering high-quality learning and support.
• Bring a trauma-informed, relationship-centred approach to working with young people.
• Be resilient, approachable and committed to helping pupils succeed.
• Communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure and adapt learning to meet diverse needs.
• Be creative, enthusiastic and dedicated to bringing out the best in pupils and their families.

  Groveside School is a Special Educational Needs School for Pupils 7 - 16 years old with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Our school opened in September 2024 and will cater for 60 pupils.
