Full Job Description
- To teach a range of young people the majority of who will have either learning or behavioural difficulties or both.
- To be cognisant of different methods in which students learn and to apply these sympathetically within the structure of lessons.
- To maintain good professional practices.
- To help create a positive environment for each young person with particular reference to his or her safety, health and education.
We are looking for a motivated, skilled and resilient Vocational Instructor. The role will suit an instructor who can demonstrate energy, enthusiasm with a strong positive behaviour management ethos. Class sizes are small with TA support, all of our students need bespoke individualised learning., Able to proficiently use tools and safely instruct and manage students to use them. - Able to plan and prioritise workload.
- Ability to maintain judgement when working under pressure.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative.
- Ability to learn and develop new skills. Desirable:
- Experience managing vocational projects.
- Cross-curricular working to incorporate National curriculum into practical learning.
- A significant level of teaching experience and relevant qualifications.
- Good standard of education achieved.
- Knowledge of child care law.
- Knowledge of child care protection issues.
