Full Job Description

This is a varied, customer-facing role combining outdoor and indoor work across the estate, including car parks, shops and, during high season, the ice cream kiosk. You will act as a welcoming point of contact for visitors to Bolton Abbey. Assisting with car parking, estate knowledge, hospitality and purchasing. Employment will be on a casual basis. Key Responsibilities Car Park

  • To open and lock the car parks and toilets.
  • To provide a friendly, warm, and helpful welcome to visitors.
  • To litter pick.
  • To maintain constant vigilance and awareness in order to provide safety and security to the Estate, the people who
  • live and work on it and those visiting it. Shops
  • To open and close the shop(s).
  • To operate the till and serve customers.
  • To assist with stock takes, replenish stock and maintain accurate stock records.
  • To assist visitors with the purchasing of season tickets and management of their account using the iPad.
  • Ice Cream Kiosk (high season only)
  • To open and close the kiosk.
  • To provide a friendly, warm, and helpful welcome to visitors and to provide advice and information about what
  • visitors can see and enjoy on the estate.
  • To operate the till and serve customers.
  • The successful candidate will be friendly, personable, and able to offer excellent levels of customer service. You will be comfortable using IT systems (e.g. car park machine, till).
