We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly, supportive, and customer focused team at Skipton Town Hall. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in welcoming visitors, supporting events and helping to create exceptional experiences across some of North Yorkshire's most valued cultural attractions, including museums, galleries, performance spaces and heritage sites. We are looking for friendly front of house staff able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends, in a variety of capacities across the building and its activities, such as visitor services, box office, events and building support. About the role As a Visitor Experience & Event Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our visitor offer, helping people enjoy everything our venues have to offer.,
- Provide a professional visitor experience, welcoming visitors and providing information about venues, exhibitions and events
- Process retail and box office sales
- Support the delivery of events, performances, workshops and private hire bookings
- Assist with setting up rooms, seating and equipment for events
- Assist with bar operations and hospitality services
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety across our venues
- Support visitor engagement activities for audiences of all ages
- Help to ensure our buildings, collections and visitors remain safe and secure
The role offers a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of cultural activities while contributing to the success of North Yorkshire's museums, galleries, heritage sites and event spaces. Weekend Working - You will be required to undertake occasional weekend working for which you will receive an allowance of £30 per weekend shift worked in addition to your hourly rate, if you have worked over 6 hrs. This is paid on a claim basis, via the payroll system.
