Full Job Description

We're looking for a dynamic, people-focused Senior Virger to help lead a dedicated team at the centre of Cathedral life. From supporting inspiring worship to ensuring seamless events, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, safe, and spiritually uplifting environment for all who enter.,

  • Deliver outstanding services and events, overseeing preparation and execution on the Cathedral floor
  • Champion a culture of welcome, care, and safeguarding
  • Work collaboratively across teams to bring the Cathedrals mission to life
  • Safeguard and support, playing a key role in protecting children and vulnerable adults
  • Take operational responsibility, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Organises the practical setup: seating, lighting, sound, and ceremonial items
  • Act as a calm and visible presence, supporting clergy, staff and visitors
  • Help care for furnishings, vestments, and ceremonial objects
