Full Job Description
We are looking for a detail-focused and reliable Vinegar Mixing Specialist to join our production team. This hands-on role is key to ensuring our vinegar products are mixed, assessed, and prepared to exact specifications - maintaining the highest levels of food safety, quality, and consistency. You will take ownership of the vinegar mixing process, performing routine checks, maintaining equipment, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. What You Will Do Production & Mixing
- Operate and monitor vinegar mixing equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to meet production and quality requirements.
- Complete daily checks and ensure all machinery is maintained, clean, and ready for operation.
- Record all mixing data and batch information clearly and accurately for traceability. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet food safety, quality, and legal standards.
- Perform routine testing, including metal detection (Tier B), and report any non-conformances.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards throughout all mixing operations. Teamwork & Leadership
- Contribute ideas for improving quality, safety, and efficiency.
- When leading others, set a positive example by encouraging teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure team members understand performance indicators and how their work impacts results. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve processes, and enhance product consistency.
- Support Lean and 5S initiatives, helping to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area.
- Actively participate in improvement workshops and team discussions with the Lean Facilitator. Equipment Care
- Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance on mixing equipment.
- Report faults or breakdowns promptly to prevent disruption to production.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and stored correctly. What You Will Bring
- Experience in a food production or liquid mixing environment (preferred).
- Food Safety Level 2 certification.
- Health & Safety Awareness.
- Qualified to Tier B - Routine Testing Requirements in Metal Detection (or willing to train).
- Excellent product knowledge and attention to detail.
- Practical, mechanically minded approach with strong organisational skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for record-keeping.
