Full Job Description

The role offers you the opportunity to work from home when you're not filming on campus. There are no weekly set days in the office, however you can work from our central London office in Fitzrovia if you want to. We have compulsory team days in the office once or twice a month. Are you a creative and driven video professional ready to make your mark? At the University of Westminster, we are looking for a committed end-to-end Video Content Producer to join our dynamic Marketing team. This is your chance to craft compelling visual stories that power our student recruitment and elevate our brand across multiple platforms, directly contributing to the University's vision and student recruitment targets. The successful candidate will have experience of creating high-quality video content within a customer-focused marketing environment or for clients in a freelance capacity. The postholder will have experience in creating video content for multi-channel campaigns for different audiences. As a Video Content Producer, the postholder will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience across all stages of video production, from pre-production planning through to final post-production delivery. The successful candidate will be able to independently:

  • Suggest new and exciting video concepts and content ideas to work on with the team.
  • Efficiently schedule and organise shoots, ensuring seamless coordination and smooth production workflows.
  • Be skilled in operating professional video equipment (Sony A7S series cameras), as well as lighting and audio gear to capture high-quality content.
  • Confidently direct shoots, effectively guiding and educating stakeholders unfamiliar with video production processes and on-set expectations.
  • Interview subjects (from behind the camera) using pre-planned questions while filming.
  • Manage and coordinate production and editing timelines, consistently meeting deadlines while maintaining high creative and technical standards.
  • Deliver final video assets for a variety of platforms, including YouTube and Meta.
  • We strongly encourage applicants to link us to examples of their end-to-end video content within their application. We are looking for someone with a passion for impactful video marketing, a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce high-quality content for diverse audiences. The postholder will be a natural collaborator, working effectively with University colleagues and students. This role is perfect for a proactive and imaginative individual eager to apply their skills in a supportive environment that values your contribution. The postholder will gain fantastic personal and professional development opportunities within an organisation committed to its core values. The University offers a vibrant, supportive learning environment with a 35-days a year holiday allowance and a generous occupational pension. Depending on project needs you will be able to work from home or from our well-appointed central London office. Ready to tell our story? Join the team and be a key player in shaping the University of Westminster's future!
