Full Job Description
As our Vice President of Survey & GeoEngineering, you'll drive a critical business unit with full P&L responsibility, reporting directly to our CEO. This executive position offers the rare chance to influence industry standards while leading high-performing teams across multiple geographies. The role can be based at any UK Vysus location (Aberdeen, Bristol or Manchester) for the right candidate, with flexibility around travel requirements.
Your impact
+ Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute ambitious business strategies that drive revenue growth, enhance profitability, and expand market share in both established and emerging markets
+ Commercial Excellence: Own and optimize the full P&L for the business unit, identifying operational efficiencies while maintaining service quality
+ Client Partnerships: Cultivate and deepen relationships with key clients, becoming their trusted advisor for complex engineering challenges in the energy transition
+ Innovation Leadership: Identify new service offerings and market opportunities based on evolving client needs and industry trends
+ Team Development: Inspire and mentor a diverse team of technical experts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
+ Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry developments and competitor movements to position the business advantageously
+ Compliance & Quality: Ensure all services meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance, safety, and technical excellence
+ Bachelor's degree in a geoscience-related field; advanced degree preferred
+ 10+ years in senior leadership roles, with proven P&L responsibility
+ Renewable Energy Expertise: Significant experience in offshore wind development, particularly in feasibility studies and Owner's Engineer roles
+ Complementary Knowledge: Understanding of related disciplines including UXO, Environmental Assessment, Marine Archaeology, and Permitting/Consenting
+ Versatile Background: Experience across renewable energy sectors including onshore wind and solar would be advantageous
+ Demonstrated success growing revenue, profitability, and market share in both Oil & Gas and Renewables markets
+ Outstanding leadership presence with the ability to inspire technical teams and build client confidence
+ Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
+ Strong commercial acumen with a proven record of identifying and capturing new business opportunities
+ Regional knowledge of energy landscapes across UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific
+ Experience in consulting or professional services environment
