Full Job Description
GP/Consulting Vet looking to develop their clinical skills within a supportive and well-equipped environment. About the Practice This well-established veterinary practice, founded in the 1970s, has grown into a respected group of four independent surgeries across West Suffolk. Despite its growth, it has retained a friendly, community-focused approach while embracing modern veterinary advancements. The practice offers a diverse and stimulating caseload, combining first-opinion work with more complex medical and surgical cases. Veterinary Surgeons regularly manage:
- Routine consultations and preventative care
- Complex inpatients (e.g. sepsis management, CRIs, chest drains)
- Post-operative care including orthopaedics and spinal cases
- Exotic and varied cases, from companion animals to wildlife
The ideal Veterinary Surgeon will: - Have 1-2 years' experience in small animal practice
- Be confident with:
- Routine consultations
- Basic medical work-ups
- Standard soft tissue surgery
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
