Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, independent small animal practice in Cheltenham. This rapidly growing, family run clinic has built a strong reputation for delivering outstanding clinical care while maintaining a personal, traditional approach, taking the time to truly get to know clients and their pets. The practice is exceptionally well-equipped, offering everything needed to work cases up to a high standard in-house. Facilities include advanced ultrasound, digital radiography, a comprehensive in-house laboratory with haematology and biochemistry analysers, full urinalysis capabilities, dental equipment, and orthopaedic surgical tools. With access to visiting specialists in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, and diagnostic imaging, you'll have the support to manage cases from start to finish without the need for referral, allowing for excellent case continuity and clinical satisfaction. You'll be joining a confident and proactive team of vets who take pride in their can do approach, regularly managing complex medical and surgical cases in-house. The team has a strong surgical focus, so this role would particularly suit a Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in medicine, especially cardiology, who is keen to complement and expand the clinical offering within the practice. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about delivering gold standard care and building strong relationships with clients. Confidence in managing cases to a high clinical standard is essential, as is a genuine commitment to patient welfare and teamwork. This is not a role suited to new or recent graduates, but rather for someone ready to take the next step in a progressive, independent practice where your skills and input will be truly valued. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a practice where clinical freedom, continuity of care, and a strong team ethos come together, offering a rewarding and fulfilling role in the beautiful surroundings of Cheltenham!
