Full Job Description

You will greet each client and offer support, guidance and expertise, managing payments and future bookings confidently. Coordinating the smooth running of the day-to-day routines of the practice will be done using our online booking system, so computer literacy is a must.,

  • You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
  • You are able to provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.
  • You are calm, attentive and always focus on the clients' needs.

  • You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy's first visit to the vet.

    Based in Redditch, Worcestershire, Vets4pets Trescott road is a successful and growing first opinion small animal practice. We pride ourselves on providing care to our clients and patients to the same standard that we expect for our own pets. With full clinical freedom, we deliver high standards of best medicine. We continuously and actively update our policies and procedures, to follow the current evidence based veterinary medicine, with all the team encouraged to get involved. Based in a large purpose built premises, we are well equipped with an excellent range of diagnostic facilities. The practice includes five consult rooms, two operating theatres, a diagnostic suite (with digital X-ray and ultrasound), a dental suite (with dental X-ray), comprehensive Idexx In-house laboratory equipment, tonopen, plus all the other usual tools! Separate dog ward, cat ward, small furry ward, isolation ward (this in on separate floor to other wards). You would be joining a team of 5 full time veterinary surgeons, 4 full time registered veterinary nurses, 2 full time animal nursing assistants, two full time student nurse and 1 receptionist. Reception work a 40 hour week, with one full week day off. Weekend rota is 1:3. After working a weekend, the following week, you receive a long weekend off.
