Vehicle Mechanics Instructor

As a Vehicle Mechanics Instructor, you'll inspire and empower pupils through hands-on learning, helping them develop practical skills, confidence and independence that will support them both in education and beyond. Working closely with the Headteacher, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and creating meaningful learning experiences that engage, motivate and unlock potential. Through dynamic mechanics lessons and a range of other subjects as required, you'll tailor your teaching to meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of each pupil. By bringing learning to life through practical projects, real-world applications and interactive activities, you'll help young people discover their strengths, build new skills and experience success. This role also offers the opportunity to influence and enhance the wider curriculum, working alongside the Head of Education to shape an ambitious, relevant and engaging educational offer. • Take responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning in Mechanics, continually developing and improving provision.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate an engaging and effective Mechanics curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports progress and achievement.
• Deliver motivating, well-structured lessons with high expectations for all learners.
• Provide personalised and differentiated learning to meet a wide range of needs and abilities.
• Maintain high expectations while building fair, respectful, and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Use assessment effectively to track progress, address misconceptions, and inform future planning.
• Embed literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills into teaching and wider professional practice.
