Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic / Technician to join our busy and growing garage in Barking. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and servicing to a high standard. Main duties:
- Vehicle servicing and general mechanical repairs
- Brakes, suspension and steering repairs
- Clutches and general mechanical work
- Fault finding and vehicle diagnostics
- Tyre fitting and repairs
- Pre-MOT inspections and repairs
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Completing work efficiently and to a professional standard
Has previous experience working as a vehicle mechanic/technician - Can confidently diagnose and repair vehicle faults
- Is reliable, punctual and professional
- Can work independently as well as part of a team
- Takes pride in their work
- Has their own basic hand tools
- Holds a full UK driving licence - preferred
- MOT Tester qualification would be an advantage but is not essential
