Who are we:
Go-Ahead London is the capital's largest bus operator and we employ the overwhelming number of our 8,000 people at 17 garages, mostly in South East, South West, North East and East London. An award-winning company with a well-regarded industry reputation, we have opened three new garages in the last five years and run a quarter of London's iconic red bus network on behalf of Transport for London (TfL) using 2,450 vehicles. We have a number of vacancies for our exciting and newly opened workshop in River Road. The workshop is carrying out specialist work for all depots in Go-Ahead London. The work we are currently carrying out and planning is as follows:
- HVAC Servicing and repairs for EV vehicles
- Engine rebuilding and fitting
- Specialist Pro-active campaign work
- Accident repair centre
- Specialist EV Work including HV Battery overhauls
- Major mechanical overhauls to prepare mid-life vehicles for new contract awards
- In depth Research and development work to improve fleet performance
This workshop will expand to cover lots of other work in the coming months and years. All training will be given, and you will receive qualifications in F-Gas, IMI Level 4 High Voltage along with anything else deemed necessary as the workshop expands.
Come and join a team that will help you build your knowledge and challenge you to do so much more than servicing and running shift work. By joining you will become part of a technical team that is recognised as one of the best in the industry.
The rate of pay for this post (GS21) is currently £967.44 per week.
We offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, 20 days holiday, and a travel pass for London Buses and the Tube Network. If you feel you have the qualities needed and would like to apply, please visit
Further information on this post is available from Ian Hogg, Technical Services Manager at Head Office on .
Applicants should clearly state any dates when they will not be available to attend an interview.
