Full Job Description
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Vascular Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic and expanding Vascular Team at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. This is a key role in delivering highquality vascular care across both hospital sites, supporting patients with complex vascular conditions and contributing to the development of our surveillance, leg ulcer, arterial and venous services. You will work closely with Consultants, ACPs, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide specialist assessment, support treatment pathways, and enhance patient experience. Base: South Tyneside District Hospital / Sunderland Royal Hospital/UHD (crosssite working required),
- Delivering specialist vascular assessments, planning care, and supporting treatment decisions.
- Running and supporting nurseled clinics (including leg ulcer, varicose vein and surveillance clinics).
- Supporting hot clinics and urgent reviews.
- Providing expert advice and education to patients, carers and colleagues.
- Contributing to inpatient reviews, ward rounds, and crosssite vascular support.
- Supporting vascular surveillance pathways and ensuring timely followup.
- Working collaboratively within an experienced multidisciplinary vascular team.
- Participating in service development and quality improvement projects.
