Are you passionate about Sociology and Humanities? Do you want to support adult learners as they take the next step towards higher education and new career opportunities? We are looking for a Variable Hours Sociology Lecturer to join our Access to Higher Education team, delivering engaging and meaningful learning experiences to adult learners from diverse backgrounds. About the Role: In this role, you will:

  • Teach Sociology modules as part of our Access to Higher Education programmes, supporting adult learners aiming to progress to university.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that encourage critical thinking and make sociological concepts accessible and relevant.
  • Support learners in developing academic and study skills, fostering their confidence and independence.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the diverse experiences of our students.

    As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn 'on the job'. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
