Full Job Description
We are now looking for experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Van Driver & Removals Operative with van driving experience, looking for a new career challenge within the removals industry to join our growing team based in Ely. This is a hands-on role involving driving and supporting removal and relocation activities for key customers. Key Responsibilities: Driving:
- When required, operate a commercial vehicle in a safe and reliable manner and be responsible at all times for the vehicle and its load
- Undertake daily vehicle and safety checks, routine
- Maintain professional conduct
- Undertake daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g. oil and water checks) and report any defects
- Check all vehicle loads comply with the requirements of Road Traffic Legislation and the defined operating limits of the vehicle
- Complete all vehicle paperwork as required
- Work independently and within a team where and when required
- Any other duties as may be requested by Management Removals Operative:
- Pack, carry, load and unload the vehicle containing customer and client personal effects and furniture
- Carry out work safely and in accordance with the Safe Systems at Work Procedures, methods, statements or other instructions
- Assist in bankman duties
- Complete and return paperwork as required when making deliveries
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and of oneself and subordinates with defined Quality System Policy and Procedures pertinent to ISO9002
