Bowker Motor Group are seeking an exceptional Used BMW Sales Manager to lead and take full ownership of a high-performing operation at our flagship BMW Retail Centre in Preston. This is a high-impact leadership role suited to a proven performer who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and is ready to take full accountability for results within a premium automotive brand. The Role: You will take ownership of a high-volume used car operation, driving performance across volume, margin, and customer experience. We are looking for a leader with strong leadership presence, resilience, and the ability to influence and challenge at all levels, capable of delivering consistent, measurable results. You will be trusted to lead from the front, drive standards, and deliver measurable performance improvements. This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape and influence the performance of the used car operation.,

  • Translate business strategy into clear, deliverable operational plans for used vehicle sales
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and performance plans to achieve and exceed targets
  • Take full accountability for used car performance across volume, profitability, and stock turn
  • Manage used vehicle stock, pricing, sourcing, and presentation to maintain a competitive and high-quality offering
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to maximise performance, accountability, and engagement
  • Create and maintain a high-performance culture focused on results, standards, and continuous improvement
  • Implement effective processes and controls to optimise every sales opportunity
  • Ensure delivery of an exceptional, premium customer experience in line with the BMW brand
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership and internal departments to drive best practice and operational excellence
  • Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and all internal policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support retention, loyalty, and repeat business
  • Hours are typically Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to meet the demands of the business. Our sales managers do not cover weekends as part of their standard rota, although occasional weekend cover may be required.

    The ideal candidate will be a driven and commercially focused leader with a proven history of delivering results. You will have:
  • A proven track record in a Used Car Sales Manager or senior automotive sales leadership role
  • Experience within a premium or prestige automotive environment
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, inspire, and challenge teams
  • A highly results-driven mindset with a clear focus on performance and accountability
  • The ability to operate effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills
  • A professional, customer-focused approach
