Urology Specialist Nurse B7

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a part of an innovative Urology Team, within The Stokes Centre of Urology at Guildford., Due to retirement, a vacancy has opened for a Urology Specialist Nurse. This role will have a variety of responsibilities, including being a vital role in the care of penile cancer and andrological conditions, as well as Urodynamic assessments and Trial without catheter/complex catheter changes

We are seeking an exceptional, highly motivated individual Clinical Nurse Specialist who will act as the primary point of contact for these patients, through their care pathway, from initial diagnosis and surgery, to long term rehabilitation and psychosexual support

Main duties of the job

Independently manage a number of Urological conditions, both cancerous and benign.

To independently and autonomously assess, plan and implement the specialised care of a varied workload of urology patients within an individual caseload and managerially be responsible for maintaining their associated records

Facilitate the delivery of clinical excellence by undertaking research and leading clinical audit in specialist area
