Full Job Description
We have an exciting vacancy opportunity for varying hours for urgent care practitioners with a professional registration of NMC or HCPC. The post holder will apply autonomous assessment, examination, and documentation and follow relevant clinical guidelines for the treatment of patients under the supervision and decision-making of senior clinicians. The Urgent CarePractitioner will be expected to engage in Shift Lead duties regular basis, to ensure patients are cared for by the rightperson, in the right place at the right time. Main duties of the job You will seek clinical expertise regarding judgement, discretion, and decision-making in the provision of clinical care toadults and children presenting with undifferentiated diagnoses of minor injuries and illnesses within a UTC setting. The post holder will work towards and be committed to undertaking an agreed capability framework. At all times to behave and act in a way appropriate to and in accordance with "The DCHS Way".
- Professional registration with NMC or HCPC
- Minor injuries or Minor illness management qualification or equivalent experience
- Level 6 module in Physical Examination and Clinical Reasoning - Or willingness to commence course within 12 months Desirable
- Teaching qualification
- Paediatrics Training Experience Essential
- Over 2 years post-registration experience
- Contemporary clinical experience within an acute/urgent care environment or commitment to undertake an agreed capability framework Desirable
- Practical understanding of primary care and community services
- Mentor, appraiser or clinical supervisor, Willingness and ability to work flexibily across UTC sites
- Ability to work as a Shift Lead Person Specification Qualifications Essential
