In this role, you will help deliver complex projects by applying clear thinking, creative problem solving, and sound technical knowledge. Your work directly supports the mission of the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust by creating safe, sustainable and accessible infrastructure.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including designers, engineers, technicians, and other specialists. Together, you will support the delivery of projects and programmes that align with the Trust's strategic priorities.

This role is perfect for someone who loves bringing ideas to life and wants to develop a rich, varied design skillset. You'll blend creativity with technical thinking to shape safer, more sustainable places - not just at your desk, but out in communities too. By engaging directly with the people who use these spaces, you'll help create designs that genuinely reflect local needs and aspirations. Taking Ownership - proactive, responsible and empowered to make things better.
Delivering Together - collaborative, transparent and motivated by shared success.
Through our values we make it possible for more people to walk, wheel and cycle safely, healthily and joyfully.

You have either: a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or another clearly related specialism, and at least 2 years of experience, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience without a degree.

You understand current guidance on healthy streets, including inclusive and holistic design approaches.
