Full Job Description

As Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care and supporting those around you. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the unit, ensuring consistently high standards of person-centred care.
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a committed care team.
  • Ensuring care plans and documentation are accurate, up to date, and truly reflect residents' needs.
  • Managing staffing levels, rotas, and shift coordination effectively.
  • Maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations, policies, and best practice.
  • Acting as a visible role model, promoting excellence in care.
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision, and ongoing staff development.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, senior management, and external professionals.

    We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and driven Unit Manager to lead one of our care units within our welcoming, high-quality care home., We're looking for someone who brings both expertise and heart to the role:
  • Experience in a senior care position (e.g. Unit Manager, Senior Nurse, Senior Carer or similar).
  • A recognised qualification in Health & Social Care (NVQ Level 3/4/5 or NMC registration - desirable).
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • A compassionate, professional approach with a passion for delivering high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and maintain high standards in a busy environment.
