Underwriter

As an Underwriter, you'll be responsible for assessing and underwriting new and existing business in line with company strategy and within your delegated authority. You'll work closely with brokers and internal teams to deliver profitable growth while maintaining a high standard of service.,

• Underwrite new and existing business in line with underwriting guidelines and appetite
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and key stakeholders
• Evaluate risk and make sound underwriting decisions to ensure profitability
• Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing
• Manage your own workload to meet SLAs and service standards
• Support business development activity and contribute to growth targets
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  
  Previous underwriting experience (or strong experience within insurance with underwriting exposure)
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to make informed decisions and work within authority limits
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload
