Undergraduate Fellow in Medical Education (Psych)

Applications are invited from CT3 trainees and Specialty Registrars (SpR/ST4ST6) for the position of Undergraduate Fellow in Medical Education (FME). This unique post offers an exciting opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and experience as a medical educator. The Fellowship will be undertaken as a 12-month out-of-programme placement within the Department of Medical Education at North East London NHS Foundation Trust., This post is designed to support CT3/ST4-6s who wish to make a commitment to education as part of their career. The 12-month out of programme experience (OOPE) post, based at North East London NHS Foundation Trust, is aimed at those who wish to build on their experience of teaching, develop expertise in educational theory and practice or undertake supervised educational research. The postholder will have a designated educational mentor who will oversee their development as an educator during the placement and co-ordinate opportunities for personal development. A customised programme of training and educational experience will be designed around the needs of the individual.
