Two Whole-Time Consultant Haematologists with specialist interest in Haemostasis and Thrombosis within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. There will support for a suitably qualified appointee [e.g. one who has been awarded or is in preparation for submission for a higher degree and is research active] to further establish research in Haemostasis and Thrombosis., The appointees will, together with consultant colleagues, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Haemostasis and Thrombosis Service. It is expected that the successful candidate work flexibly and co-operatively with other members of the team in order to provide a high quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment.

Any candidate who wishes to work less than full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues., The successful candidate must be registered with the GMC with a valid licence to practice, name on the specialist register for Haematology or eligible within 6 months of the date of the interview.
If an applicant is UK trained, they must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
