Full Job Description
All staff are subject to Slough Borough Council safer recruitment protocols, including pre-employment checks, an Enhanced DBS check and the taking up of all references.
- The ability to demonstrate high levels of musicianship and in-depth knowledge of your specialist instrument
- The ability and passion to enthuse, engage and motivate children and young people of all musical abilities and backgrounds
- Experience of, and enthusiasm for, teaching from beginner level
- The ability to plan and deliver high-quality, enjoyable lessons that ensure every student's musical skills and knowledge progress each term
- The ability to maintain high professional standards at all times, including excellent timekeeping, accurate timesheet and register administration, and clear, timely communication with schools, parents, students and the music service We are committed to recruiting and continuing to develop a workforce that reflects the diverse community we serve and warmly welcome applications from individuals who are currently underrepresented in music education in Slough.
